Preschool Child Care Lead

8 hours per day

M-F

CEC & EVE, 2 positions total 

May 28, 2024-August 15th

 

JOB SUMMARY: The WRAP Lead is responsible for the general daily oversight of the program, planning and implementing daily program curriculum, daily/weekly parent communication, assigning program tasks to the paraprofessionals and provide direct supervision of the children to ensure that a safe, fun, and enriching program is carried out each day. 

 

Work Requirements and Characteristics:

 

Education/Certification/Licensure:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid Minnesota driver’s license
• AA or AS Preferred
• Completion of a combination of district traning programs, experience, and coursework of an equivalent nature and level to perform the requirements of the work.

 Experience:

• 1-3 years of youth programming experience, preferrably with preschool age children
• Must be 18 years of age

 

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge and ability to apply basic computer, math and language skills
• Ability to work well with students and staff
• Ability to work with children of various ability levels
• Knowledge of district discipline policy
• Knowledge and application of Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training if required by the position
• Position requires exercising confidentiality in handling district information
